Welcome to NorGlen Rhythmic Gymnastics Club. We are a non-profit organization that has been providing recreational Rhythmic Gymnastic classes to children and adults of all ages, genders, backgrounds, and skill levels in Lakeview and surrounding areas of Calgary, AB since 1979
NorGlen Rhythmic Gymnastic Teams
We welcome registrations for all teams, but ask that you contact us prior to registration for any new member requests on performing teams.
Beginners (Kinder/Grade 1)
1 hour per week
This group provides an introduction to the various apparatus used in rhythmic gymnastics while continuing to develop foundational movement and rhythmic gymnastics skills. The emphasis is on fun, learning new skills, and working on coordination and flexibility. The gymnasts will incorporate dance and apparatus skills into a group routine. They will have the opportunity to perform in our Winter and Spring Shows and potentially other events within the province.

Intermediates (Grades 2/3)
1.5 hours per week

The Jeunesse Performing Team combines rhythmic gymnastics, dance and teamwork with a greater focus on performance than our introductory classes. This group will work on improving apparatus skill, body technique, and flexibility. They will work on routines for performance opportunities including our club Winter and Spring shows, Provincial Gymnaestradas, and various other events throughout the province.

Junior Performing (Grades 7 to 9)
4 hours per week
The Junior Performing Team offers an opportunity to combine dance and gymnastics with a performance focus. This group will work on improving apparatus skill, body technique, and flexibility. They will work on routines for performance opportunities including Winter and Spring shows, Provincial Gymnaestrada, and various other events. New gymnasts are welcome to this group at the discretion of the coach. Previous dance or gymnastics experience is an asset.
Senior Performing (Grades 10+)
2 hours per week
The Senior Performing Team offers an opportunity to combine dance and gymnastics with a performance focus. This group will work on improving apparatus skill, body technique, and flexibility. They will work on routines for performance opportunities including Winter and Spring Shows, Provincial Gymnaestradas, and various other events. *New gymnasts are welcome to this group at the discretion of the coach. Previous dance or gymnastics experience is an asset.
Masters Performing (Ages 18+)
1.5 hours per week
This group of experienced gymnasts focuses on challenging themselves in apparatus skills and body technique whilst having fun and keeping fit. This group is open to new gymnasts, however, admittance is at the discretion of the coach. The group will have the opportunity to perform at our annual Winter and Spring Shows as well as various other events throughout the year.
Ladies Team
1.5 hours per week
The ladies group's focus is towards fun and fitness in a social setting. No experience is necessary and there is no age limit! This group participates in several performances throughout the year. Many of the gymnasts are long time members and have participated in various Provincial, National, and World Gymnaestradas.
Fee Assistance is available from a number of local organizations.

KidSport provides grants to kids from families facing financial barriers so they can participate in registered sport programs and experience the lifelong benefits of a season of sport. KidSport Calgary & Area provides grants of up to $500 per eligible child, per year (January 1st - December 31st) towards sport registration fees.
